San Charles of Borremeo
The 2nd Mission, founded July 14th 1771. Named for Saint Charles of Borremeo, a 16th century Italian Cardinal
Carmel mission is one of the most beautiful missions. Remains of Father Junipero Serra, founder of the California Missions, are buried in the mission church.
